Collaboration Workspace for Apparel Product Development
Role
Product Designer
Time Duration

Description
Stitch is the design system and product surface for Viora, the platform where apparel brands and technical designers manage product development end to end. Apparel product development is a domain where early decisions (a seam allowance, a fabric substitution, a spec tolerance) create consequences much later in sourcing and production that are expensive to undo. A tool meant to sit inside that workflow has to earn trust fast, because the people using it are making calls with real downstream cost. That's a hard bar to clear in an early-stage product built at startup speed.
Problem Statement
Technical designers spend a large share of their time on administrative work, because tech packs, the contractual document that governs a garment's production, go through constant back-and-forth revisions with manufacturers and brand teams; but no system tracks which version is current or where a given communication or change lives, so tech designers lose time reconstructing status and lose reliability in a document that is supposed to be a binding contract.
Friction & Opportunities

Key Design Decisions
AI Audit
Stitch reads your tech pack and surfaces what is missing and what conflicts, including inconsistencies between callouts and the BOM, absent annotations in sketches, grading discrepancies, and more.
Version History
Every change is recorded. Revert to any prior version. See exactly what changed between the sample cycles.
Live Collaboration
Your team and manufacturing partners work in the same document. Feedback that once lived in email threads and scattered phone calls now lives in the tech pack itself, with full context.
Change Summaries
Return to a tech pack after a week away and know immediately what changed since you last saw it. A clear, readable summary so you stay current across every style.
ROI & Reflections
Stitch was about catching mistakes before they became expensive, and building the trust for people to rely on that check.
Prevention > Correction
The highest-leverage intervention wasn't a better sampling process, it was introducing a check before manufacturing ever saw the document, something the workflow never had
Context Loss
Context Loss Is a Design Problem, Not Just a Data Problem — fragmentation across tools was costing rounds, not just time
The System Has to Earn Its Own Trust
A design system built at AI-assisted speed needs the same rigor as the product problem it's solving

reduction in prototype review rounds
